DESCRIPTION:While revising the DRG and grouping property names in the Combi
 ned version we discovered some irregularities\, which we wish to discuss i
 n the forthcoming Expert Group meeting. The aim is to agree on some common
  rules to be followed in the future.  &nbsp\;  Things to be discussed:  1.

 stem\, short therapy w/o significant procedure). In which cases should eit
 her one be used?  2.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; The use of words p
 rocedure\, operation and intervention (e.g. 493X Endoscopic or laparoscopi
 c operation on gallbladder\, w CC / 471N Bilateral or multiple major joint
  procedures of extremities / 209O Major joint procedures of lower extremit
 y\, not reoperation\, short therapy / &nbsp\;470H False combination of dia
 gnosis and intervention). In which cases should each one be used?  3.&nbsp
 \;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; The use of singular or plural forms of word
 s (e.g. 088X Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease vs. 088M Chronic obstru
 ctive pulmonary diseases\, w MCC). In which cases should either one be use
 d?  4.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; The use of the sign &amp\; (e.g.
  248C Tendonitis\, myositis &amp\; bursitis\, w CC / 404X Lymphoma &amp\; 
 non-acute leukemia\, w/o CC). Should it be used\, or should we always use 
 the word and instead?  5.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; The use of th
 e term of the vs. just of (e.g. 350X Inflammation of the male reproductive
  system / 911FB Malignancy of kidney and urinary tract\, cytostatic therap
 y\, short therapy). Should the use of these be unified too?  &nbsp\;  Shou
 ld any of the countries want to raise other issues under discussion\, they
  can be added to the comments of this case.
