The required changes concerning NDMS have now been done. They can be found in PL0a tables attached to this ticket.

As for your last question about the need of -99V23 for the logic rows ids 200D120160 and #00D001950 (L78O and L78R), we don’t see the need for that. Firstly, if we use the rule for these two rows, it should be used for all the other rows concerning visits or primary care, not distant. Secondly, the cases should group as expected also without it.

Please do the necessary testing and let us know the results.

Here is Mats Fernströms answer. I hope this answers your question: 

Cases with insertion of nervous system central stimulation devices for pain problems (MDC 23) do not fit in DRG W09/461 (Operationer utförda i samband med andra kontakter med sjukvården/ OR procedures performed during other contacts with health services), neither descriptively nor economically. Therefore, the existing rule in drg_logic with ID 490D010000, leading to DRG A22N/570X (Implantation/byte av annan nervstimuleringsutrustning / Insertion or replacement of nervous system central stimulation device) must be placed above the rule with ID 423D0200001 leading to DRG W09A/461M.

For the same reason, the rule with ID 123D0001001 leading to DRG W09O/461O must be placed after the rule with ID 190D0099001 leading to DRG A20O/570O. (We chose to move the rule for DRG W09O/461O down instead of moving the rule for DRG A20O/570O up because it was easier.)

Thank you for the clarification. The latest requested changes have now been done and PL0b tables are attached to this ticket. Check carefully especially the location of the rule id 407D191000, that it is as you wanted it to be. Note that in NDMS the ord of the rule is created automatically.

Three new proc codes have been added to MBC/NDMS.

Before making the changes in the logic table, please double-check the attached edited TCs to make sure the changes will be made as you suggested:

• Changes related to DRGs R65E and R97O concern the hierarchy of the rules. I tried to mark it clearly in TC which rows should be removed where.
• You do not mention DRG E35N Övriga operationer på kärl in text above but you have indicated in TC that row with id 405D130148 should be removed from the table. Is this the change you would like to do?

Please confirm the changes in the logic table before we make them in NDMS.
